Night falls and there she sits
Alone again watching the rain plink on to her window
Alone in her mind with only her thoughts for company
Youll never find love, youre entirely too shy
But shes getting braver
More and more each day
She actually looked that attendant in the eye
And she shook that mans hand at the museum
Maybe those demons are wrong
She pulls on her sweater
Its chilly outside and he does the same
Neither lost dreamer is paying attention
And theres a collision
He flounders
She smiles
Both choking on words that they cannot say
And thats how it started
Just one winter day
A million years later that smile still stays
Today is her day
She feels like a princess
All dressed up in that dress with the puffy sleeves
The kind that Cinderella had when she went to her ball
And now its her in the starlight
He brings the corsage and the cheesiest grin
Tonight is their night
And tomorrow again
